This collection samples the artist’s work in the 1990s. On the heels of the Reagan administration Gard Jones obsessed in commentary on the influence and weaponization of money, and oil as money in American culture.

In his own words, “I had found satisfaction in the creation of sculptures that looked at the world through the door of whimsy with jaundiced eye. Ultimately, I came to see that my tilting at windmills was driven by my own arrogance. These are imperfect documentations of imperfect conceptualizations.”
